Mental Health First Aid Training (Copy)

Trinity Lutheran School is offering a Youth Mental Health First Aid training course. This course is for adults and teaches you to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This 7.5-hour training gives adults the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

This course is taught by Kay Siebert, an RN with over 35 years of clinical experience and is certified as a MHFA instructor for the youth, adult and higher education courses. She has taught over 2000 individuals in several states in the past 5.5 years, including hundreds of teachers in both public and private schools, school counselors and administrators, as well as parents, public safety officers, ministry staffs, and community members.

This course is offered on Friday, May 13th and Saturday, May 14th. Limited space is available.L unch will be provided for all attendees. Please use the sign up link below to reserve your spot.
